the C&O Trattoria
A virtual landmark that perenially wins top restaurant honors in Los Angeles, the C&O trattoria is a bit of a victim of it's own success. It still has good portions, good food, and piping hot garlic knots. And the entrees are reasonable at a bit over $10....but it just isn't worth the wait on a crowded Friday night and once you are seated, there are sooo many people around that you can hardly hear the person next to you. It's still a good place for food, but it's not the best place to have a conversation with your friends in over a relaxing Italian dinner.
