the venice beach boardwalk basketball cam
My little webcam captured these images on the Venice Beach Boardwalk basketball courts awhile back.... Recognize the courts from movies like "American History X" and "White Men Can't Jump"? They really aren't that tough. On Saturday afternoon, during the summer, the "A" court which is the only one which runs 5 on 5, has it's share of drama, but the side courts are almost always full of reasonable, friendly people who will give you a decent game....not entirely free of drama, but not the war zone depicted in the movies. The courts are just south of Windward on the west side of the boardwalk.
